Music 4 Hunger Charity Music CD Projects
YerBird Records Collaborating with Music 4 hunger
Yer Bird Records is an independent record label dedicated to the art of great folk and folk-inspired music. The label changed hands in early 2010 from its origins in Virginia / Pennsylvania to its new home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
“Our goal has always been the same and that is to give great folk music a home and to celebrate the singer-songwriter. The inspiration for the compilation was to acknowledge the labels beginnings as well as the labels new chapter – What Lies Ahead.”
“We are so proud to have had the opportunity to put together such an amazing group of artists to create what we believe represents the heart and soul of folk music today. Folk Music For What Lies Ahead is an international affair – connecting artists from Europe, Canada and the United States. Visit our website at www.yerbird.com for more information on each of the contributing artists.”
“Our decision to pair with a charity was an easy one. We are truly privileged to realize our passion for music when there is so much chaos around us. Music 4 Hunger has put a face to the many faceless children living in poverty – locally and globally. The statistics are shocking and the need endless. Our part is small in the fight to end poverty but we pleased to donate a portion of sales to the Music 4 Hunger Foundation. It gives us great pride to know that our donation will go directly to a great cause – to make a difference.”
“Music has the ability to join hearts and minds across every language, culture and country, our sincerest hope is that our record – Folk Music For What Lies Ahead touch the lives of those that hear it and that we can be part of a better tomorrow. ”

Music 4 Hunger is a non-profit charitable organization to benefit poor, hungry, homeless and underprivileged children around the world. Music 4 Hunger Foundation produces live and recorded music to raise money to help needy children locally and globally.
The Foundation provides many ways donations will be used. Yer Bird has chosen to direct the portion of funds collected from the sale of the compilation to go directly to help needy children. We believe in the vision of Music 4 Hunger to end hunger and poverty. There is enough food and resources in the World for everyone. No child should be hungry. No child should be homeless.
18,000 children die each day to hunger alone - Yer Bird is proud to be part of the solution.

Yer Bird Records is once again proud to present a collection of new, unreleased and rare recordings by both our label musicians as well as some of today's (and tomorrow's) best independent folk artists.
We feel that this new collection spans what folk has been, can be and will be.
These 18 artists represent what we think lies ahead in Folk and Folk inspired music. This is "Folk Music For What Lies Ahead".
